For 16 years, the town of Palisade has been celebrating its love of hot pickin’, blazing fiddles, and sun-soaked Colorado days. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Grand Mesa and the Colorado River, the Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival is a three-day gathering that captures the true spirit of small-town Colorado — where world-class bluegrass meets community, creativity, and pure summer joy.
Each June, Riverbend Park transforms into a riverside haven for music lovers, families, and free spirits alike. You’ll find national headliners sharing the stage with Colorado’s finest up-and-coming artists, spontaneous jam sessions under the cottonwoods, and the friendliest festival crowd around. With local food and craft vendors, riverside camping, and that easy Palisade charm, it’s a weekend that feels both timeless and brand new every year.

2025 PROGRAM
We had an amazing time at last year’s festival. We shared great musical moments with all of you, played in the pond, rolled in the thick green grass, watched the kids play and laugh, and just had a weekend where the world felt right. The line-up was more diverse than usual, and that turned out to be a good thing because you all showed up.
I can see us all dancing together through a wicked Kitchen Dwellers set, discovering new music at the Back Porch stage, feeling the horns from the Low Down Brass Band, watching the sun set as the California Honeydrops rocked us, and finishing off a fantastic weekend with the Brothers Comatose.
None of it would have happened without the Town of Palisade, a stellar staff, and many Helpful Humans. We were kind to them and to each other, and it truly was a wonderful weekend.

ACTIVITIES
The Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival is more than music- it’s a weekend full of rhythm, play, and community. Start your day with yoga, join a drum circle or jam session, and explore the town with Cruise Palisade. Families will love the Fun Zone, while adventurers can paddle the river or dive into dance workshops. From bourbon tastings to the Sunday farmers market, there’s something for everyone to enjoy under the Colorado sun.
WHERE TO STAY
Staying in Palisade, Colorado? The Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival offers on-site premium and general camping areas. Camping passes are available for festival attendees only.

Be part of the Palisade Bluegrass Festival team. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of this experience! Positions include everything from Green Team to Saloon to Gates. We can’t do this without you. A four hour shift provides you with a one day ticket to the festival. For a 3 day festival pass, 2 four hour shifts are required. Camping is not included. Many positions require you to be over 18 years of age and all Saloon shifts require 21+. We depend on you to show up on time and fulfill your obligations. Times may be subject to change.
Palisade is known for fresh food and delicious libations. You can be part of the experience by bringing your creativity to our festival in the form of yummy food. We only accept 11 or 12 Food vendors and bring a varied feast of options, so you are assured good business. Our Food Court area houses our side stage- lots of shade and great vibes. We take care in selecting a varied array of vendors, keep our fees reasonable and provide ample space for your booth, electricity and free camping.
Vending is a great way to be part of our festival family. Our merchant vendors are artists and entrepreneurs. The festival is relaxed with an emphasis on high quality music, goods, and food. We work hard to make the experience great for everyone so we take care in selecting a varied array of vendors, keep our fees reasonable and provide ample space for your booth, electricity and free camping.
