FESTIVAL GUIDELINES & INFO:

In order to ensure a good festival for everyone there are certain guidelines that should be abided, therefore ensuring a relaxed atmosphere throughout the weekend.

  • DOGS: Sorry, but we CANNOT allow dogs in the campground or in the concert park at the festival. It's hard on everyone, including the pooches - . This will be strictly enforced.
  • ALCOHOL: Beer and wine and cocktails will be available for purchase for guests 21 and over. All are made in Colorado. Palisade boasts some of the best bloody marys in the state! No alcohol, glass, or coolers may be brought into the concert park. Please act responsibly!
  • CAMPING: Camping at the festival is an experience unto itself. Five large communal fire rings create ample opportunity for all night jams. Shade and space provide gorgeous camp sites with river views for groups and individuals and a bike path brings easy access to the Main Stage, Children's activities and town. For those campers hoping for a little more solitude near their home away from home…You may have small, controlled fires in fire pans or chimeneas, but please not on the ground! Campground Hours: Opens to the public on Thursday, June 9 at noon and closes Monday, June 13 noon.
  • RV CAMPING: There are 10 RV hookup camping spaces. Those spots are farther from the music than other camping areas. There is an additional $25 fee for RV spots. Please call 970-464-5602 to reserve.
  • SHOWERS: For those who have purchased camping, free shower facilities are available at the Pool at Peach Bowl Park (corner of Elberta and 5th) between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The shuttle will make a regular stop at Peach Bowl from 7:00 to 12 noon. Charge for use of the shower facility after these hours is $5.00.
  • SHUTTLES: The Town of Palisade will graciously be providing a free shuttle which will allow festival goers to access downtown Palisade, local wineries and brewery, the Wine Country Inn and more. The Free shuttle will circulate approximately every ½ hour from 7:00 am until 11:30 PM through the campground, the festival grounds, (ticket booth) to downtown Palisade, the Wine Country Inn and Peach Bowl Park (Peach Bowl stop only between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon). Leave the car behind and take a ride into town!
  • BICYCLES: Riverbend Park is not only a great place for a music festival, but a enormous park as well. The campground is BIG and town is SMALL. Bring a bike as it’s the best way to get around the park and the festival. There is an extensive bike path along the river, which makes for the perfect way for excursions into and around town, back and forth from your hotel or campsite to the main stage, and wherever else you’d like to explore!
  • ACCESSIBILITY: Festival grounds are level and accessible and we welcome persons with disabilities!
  • CAUTION: The Colorado River in June can run at over 9,000 cubic feet per second, usually the highest of the year! The river can be dangerous. It's a beautiful river to enjoy, but please watch after young children.
  • CHILDREN: Children 12 and under are FREE. The concert area is fenced and a play area will be provided for children but monitoring is the sole responsibility of parents and guardians.
  • As a courtesy to everyone, please don't block the view with high lawn chairs.

About Us:
The Town of Palisade was founded in 1904 following more than twenty years of growing interest in the agricultural potential of the eastern end of the Grand Valley. The Town itself still enjoys a laid back atmosphere complete with friendly and welcoming residents. Although still under 3000 souls, Palisade is home to some of the best restaurants in the valley, and a growing and popular arts and entertainment district.

The Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival is sprouting roots of its’ own as the forth annual event is already taking shape. The Town of Palisade is proud to announce a solid partnership with Mountain Groove Productions, Inc. the same talent which has brought events such as the Carbondale Mountain Fair, Snowmass Chili Pepper and Brew Fest, Aspen Mountain Bluegrass Sundays, and Telluride Bluegrass -Nightgrass to the Western Slope.
